I first met Shikisai in Busan in the middle of September, when the summer heat had still not completely faded.
I went to pick him up at Jangsan Station in Haeundae. While we were loading his luggage into the car, he told me, “I’m not very good at English.” But as soon as we started talking, I realized his English was actually much better than mine. That moment still feels like it happened just yesterday.
I also remember the first time I heard his music. His melodies and energy immediately stood out to me. There was something special about the way his music could naturally lift not only the people listening, but the atmosphere of the entire space.
Since then, Shikisai has been there for NASUB during some of our most important moments. Whenever I hear his music, memories of the time we’ve shared at NASUB naturally come back to me.
BAR NASUB and CLUB NASUB are two very different sides of the same place.
BAR NASUB is a dreamy space overlooking Gwangandaegyo Bridge and the ocean, where nature and the city exist side by side. I imagine the BAR NASUB Version playing around sunset, as the sun slowly disappears over the water and the city lights begin to come alive. The warm melodies and subtle energy of Shikisai’s music seem to blend naturally with the ocean, the fading sunlight, and the atmosphere of NASUB.
CLUB NASUB, on the other hand, is a small but energetic space tucked away in a back alley near one of the busiest intersections in central Busan. Tourists, Busan locals, and people from all over the world come together in the same intimate space, dancing freely and sharing the energy of the night.
There is something about Busan that feels brighter, more open, and more exciting than many other cities. That spirit lives inside CLUB NASUB, and I can feel the same spirit in the CLUB NASUB Version.
Listening to these two versions made me realize something again.
At BAR NASUB, you can slowly sink into the music while watching the ocean and the sunset. At CLUB NASUB, you can lose yourself in the energy of the crowd, dancing together in a small, intimate space.
Two different spaces, two different sides of NASUB — connected by the same music.
Somehow, Shikisai’s music feels completely at home in both.
And when I listen to these tracks, I don’t just hear his music. I remember the nights, the people, and the moments we shared at NASUB.
Exactly as I remember him.

Diesel Disco Club presents its Summer 2026 EP.
This release marks the first original production in a year from label owner DJ Shikisai, inspired by Cafe & Bar / Club Nasub in Busan, South Korea.
The Club Nasub Version is a percussion-driven Balearic House track, featuring flowing arpeggios and an uplifting, open-air groove.
In contrast, the Cafe & Bar Nasub Version is a beatless ambient interpretation inspired by the beautiful beachfront setting of Cafe & Bar Nasub, offering a laid-back and immersive listening experience.
The artwork for this release features the mural painted on the wall of Club Nasub, further capturing the spirit and atmosphere that inspired the music.
Whether in a club, at a café, or by the beach, this EP is designed to soundtrack a wide range of summer moments.

今作は、レーベルオーナー **DJ Shikisai** による約1年ぶりのオリジナル作品。韓国・釜山の **Cafe & Bar / Club Nasub** に捧げた、バレアリック・ハウス・チューンです。
**Club Nasub Version** は、流麗なアルペジオとパーカッシブなグルーヴが心地よく重なり合う、開放感あふれるバレアリック・ハウス・トラック。
一方の **Cafe & Bar Nasub Version** は、美しい浜辺を望むCafe & Bar Nasubをイメージした、チルアウトな雰囲気を楽しめるノンビート・バージョンに仕上げました。
また、本作のジャケットには、Club Nasubの壁に描かれたアートワークを採用。楽曲のインスピレーションの源となった場所の空気感を、そのまま作品へと落とし込んでいます。
クラブでも、カフェでも、ビーチでも。さまざまな夏のシチュエーションに心地よく寄り添う、Diesel Disco Clubらしい一作です。
